How to resize, compress and convert images
IMAGE FLOW makes new copies of your images in your browser. It does not alter the original files on your device. Add your images, set the batch defaults, then use individual cards for exceptions.
Compress and convert
- Choose Select images. Start with one image to find suitable settings.
- Choose JPG, PNG or WebP. The quality control applies mainly to JPG and WebP; PNG is lossless.
- Choose Process all images, then compare the original and converted previews.
- Download an individual image or choose Download all as ZIP.
Resize and crop
Choose width, height or longest side and enter the target size in pixels. Resizing preserves the aspect ratio. Cropping uses the center of the image: check whether a face or important detail was cut off. Presets set both a crop ratio and size, and can be adjusted afterwards.
Add a watermark and name your files
Enter watermark text and choose its position, size and opacity. Leave the text blank to omit it. Prefixes and suffixes help identify the edited copies; sequence numbers help keep a batch organized. Changing settings invalidates the previous output, so process the images again before saving.
Tips for smaller, useful images
For a website illustration, first resize to the dimensions you actually need, then adjust JPG or WebP quality. A new format does not guarantee a smaller file; compare the displayed output size. Use PNG or WebP when transparency matters. JPG fills transparent areas with your chosen background color.
EXIF and visible private information
The tool redraws and re-encodes images, removing standard EXIF location and camera metadata. This does not hide information visible in the image itself, such as a face, address or document number. Review the picture before sharing it.
Frequently asked questions
What are the limits?
Up to 50 images per batch, 20 MB and 25 megapixels per image. Output is limited to 25 megapixels and 16,000 pixels per side. Browser memory may require smaller batches.
Does it preserve animation?
This is a still-image tool. Do not rely on it to preserve animated frames. JPG, PNG and WebP still images are the intended workflow.
Why is the result larger?
The original may already be highly compressed. High quality, a larger pixel size or a different format can increase file size. Lower the size or quality and compare again.
Are files uploaded?
No. Image processing takes place in your current browser tab. An internet connection is needed to load the website and its resources. Save your output before closing or refreshing the tab.
